Who’s This? Making Callbacks and Which Number We Call From.

Part of the onboarding process, after signing up with Jill’s Office, is receiving your “Jill’s Office” phone number. This number is the one you forward your phones to.
This phone number is also the number that will appear if a Jill is making a callback/textback for you.

When acquiring this number our system is normally able to find one that has the same area code as your company phone. If it doesn’t, and you request it, we can double check to see if it can be changed, but a number with your area code isn’t always available. 

A common concern with this is…

… What if a client doesn’t answer because they don’t recognize the number?

A great question! In our system we can set it up to where any Jill callback shows up as your company number. 

The process?

The process to set this up is pretty straightforward. Either during the onboarding, or by reaching out to your Account Manager after, it’s one phone call. 

The verification process happens by calling your company number and having you put in a code. When that code is entered, the number is then verified and we can start using your company number for callbacks/outbound calls.

Something to note

If you have a call tree you will want to momentarily disable it for the phone call, otherwise the call won’t be able to go through.

Also if multiple people are given the chance to answer your company line, you will want to let them know not to answer for a moment when the call is coming through. 

In conclusion 

By default any outbound/callbacks come from the Jill’s Office number that you forward your calls to. If you want it to come from your company number we will need to do a quick phone call to verify the phone number. After the number is verified any outbound/callbacks will show up as your company number.
